Cute as a Button - Craft Storage Idea

I have a ton of little crafty items that need good ways of being stored, and buttons are one of them.  So I grabbed some empty spice jars, and decorated them up with colored coded tops to match my button colors.  Here are my pink, light blue, and yellow button jars!

Adding a few cute stamps, color coded papers, and painted lids helps make these jars come to life to help store my button.  Watch my video tutorial on how to clean your jars, paint the tips, and a TON of crafty tips on helping you create your own crafty storage.

Using the Pink and Main papers, dies, and stamps make these jars just too cute.  Even more fun to pull out and play with these buttons that have been in my stash for ever!  I just love these ice cream cones, they re just too cute!!!

I painted to tops of the jars to match the colors of the buttons.  Now I only have about 15 more colors to go, but at least this is a start and will make but button hunting easier.  The best way to use your crafty supplies is to make them easy to find.  If they are hidden or not seen, then you never use them!

All the papers are held on to the jars with the amazing Xyron sticker makers.  They turn everything into a stickers, it makes crafting a breeze!!!

Since this is a hop, you know we have to have a little blog hop candy.  Pink and Main and Xyron are each giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to Pink and Main and a Xyron Mega Runner.  Go to Xyron’s Facebook page and like and comment from the pas few days and on any Pink and Main post for a chance to win a prize pack from Xyron and Pink and Main!

Fitness Planner Embellishments

I got these fun stamps in the mail from SRM Press that are for planners and all about fitness and being healthy.  I think they are super cute, but I had to do my spin on the just a little stamp and make something a little different, so why not a little embellishment that you can use in your planner or in other crafts!!

Here is my video on how I made these fun fitness planner embellishments!

These SRM Press Healthy planner stamps are just too cute, and even if you are not a planner person, these stamps can be used for so much more, just look at these fun embellishments I made with the stamps as a focus!

http://www.srmstore.com/

Adding in the punched layers of paper in bright colors and the Rinea foiled paper all add to the  fun of these embellishments, makes you want to workout...hehe, I need all the help I can get :)

Making these as a batch is so much easier than just trying to make one or two, you already have all the items out, so why not make a large amount!! Now I have these fun embellishments to swap with friends!

So have fun thinking of little mini art pieces to use for your stamps, it is a fun way to create and feel like you have accomplished a ton!

Over 37 Ideas for Paper Craft Embellishments from Swaps

I belong to a paper craft group where we swap embellishments every month.  The number in the group varies between 6-10, but never more than 10.  This mean if there are 10 people in the group, I create 10 embellishments send away 9, and keep one for myself.  I then in return get up to 9 embellishments back all from different people, and they are all a little different!

Making embellishments is really fun, you can try out new techniques, and if you mess up on one, just make another!!  Here is the first video of the embellishments I received for Jan and Feb of 2017.  There were lots of fun idea for holidays such as Valentines Day and St Patrick's day, plus some everyday embellishments too.

I made two of the embellishments in this swap, the clay hearts and the steampunk wings made from Styrofoam.  That is part of the beauty of making these fun little pices of art, you can make them from anything!!!  Here is an up close picture of the embellishments and the video on how to make them.

 Steampunk Styrofoam Wings

Now what can you do with these embellishments when they are done being made?  So many ideas, here is one example of the use on an ATC set I created.  I used the steampunk Styrofoam wings as the focal point on these ATCs.

Here are a few other fun embellishments I received in this batch.  To see the rest, please view the video here - https://youtu.be/DW77Prd5G50

I got another batch of embellishments in for March and April, so fun things for spring and Easter!!  Here is a little run down of the amazing embellishments I got for these 2 months.

I made two of the embellishments for this swap, again a bit different then before.  This time it was a little stamped image on a clip, and then some inches with clay embellishments on them.  Below is an up close image of these embellishments and also the video on how I created them.
